Buccaneer Walnut (Mature specimen)

Buccaneer is a popular variety of walnut to grow in the UK.  It is hardier and later cropping than other varieties, so better suited to our changeable UK climate.  Buccaneer does not mind being pruned back and can be kept at a height of around 5m.  It is quicker to crop than many varieties, typically producing fruits within 5 years.

The walnuts can be dried and stored for eating fresh and using in cooking or can be pickled when green.
