Bush Trees

Bush trees are perfect for small gardens, growing to an ultimate height of around 2–2.5 metres (6–8 feet). They need around 3 metres spacing between each tree. Although grown on the same rootstock as taller half-standards, bush trees are pruned differently in the nursery, removing the main leader at a lower point, to encourage a shorter, more compact tree.

This makes them easier to manage for pruning, picking, and general care, ideal for gardeners of all ages, and a great way to get children involved too. Bush trees are a brilliant choice for limited spaces without compromising on fruit yield or enjoyment.
