Timescale for Growing Your Trees

Thank you for choosing Grow Fruit Trees. We believe that growing strong, healthy trees takes both time and care. Our goal is to provide you with trees that will thrive for years to come, not just in the first season. This document explains how we manage the growing process, why timescales can vary, and what you can expect as one of our valued customers.

Estimated Timescales

  • We provide an estimated timeframe for when your tree will be robust enough to leave the nursery and establish successfully, provided it receives the correct care once planted.
  • These timescales are based on our experience as growers, but every tree is unique and growth rates can vary.

Our Organic Growing Approach

  • All our trees are grown organically, without chemical fertilisers or artificial growth enhancers.
  • This natural approach may take longer, but it ensures healthier, stronger, and more resilient trees in the long run.

What Influences Growth?

The ultimate timing depends on a variety of natural factors, including:

  • Weather conditions during the growing seasons
  • The tree’s own level of vigour (some varieties are naturally faster or slower growing)
  • The need for the tree to be strong enough to thrive once planted in your care

Heritage Varieties

  • Some heritage varieties are naturally less vigorous. These may require an additional growing season before they are ready to be dispatched.
  • We see this extra time as part of the investment in ensuring your tree has the best chance at a long and fruitful life.

Our Promise to You

  • We will never release a tree too early just to fulfil an order. Every tree leaves our nursery only when we are confident it will succeed.
  • We are committed to the longevity and health of all the trees we supply.

Communication and Updates

  • We aim to keep you informed with regular updates on your tree’s progress, once we are in the “growing season”.  However, you can contact us at any time and our team will be pleased to inspect your tree and provide an update.
  • If we have any concerns about your chosen variety, we will let you know and, where possible, suggest alternatives.

Cancellations and Refunds

  • Please note that we cannot accept cancellations or offer refunds if a tree takes longer than expected to grow.
  • In cases of significant delays, we will always do our best to provide an alternative option for you to consider.
