Blue Tit Plum Half-Standard

Blue Tit is an old fashioned variety that was raised by the famous Laxton Bros of Bedford c1938.  The plums are sweet and juicy, when fully ripe the yellow flesh has a rich, almost greengage flavour.  As you would expect from the name the plums are blue/black in colour and covered with a dense blue bloom.  They are excellent used as a culinary plum and also have the benefit of being self-fertile.
