Enjoy three wonderful apple varieties growing together on one tree. Family apple trees are grafted with several different varieties, making them a great choice for smaller gardens where space may be limited, while still providing a selection of flavours and apples to enjoy.
William Crump
Raised at Rowe’s Nurseries in Worcester, this heritage eating apple has firm, juicy flesh with a sweet, rich and aromatic flavour. Awarded a First Class Certificate by the RHS in 1910, it is ready to pick in October and can be stored until January.
Laxton’s Royalty
Raised by Laxton Brothers in Bedford in 1908, this heritage eating apple is a cross between Cox’s Orange Pippin and Court Pendu Plat. The fruits have firm, crisp flesh with a gently sweet flavour and a refreshing sharpness. Pick in late October and store to enjoy through the winter.
Gascoyne’s Scarlet
A lovely Kentish heritage apple, raised at Bapchild Court near Sittingbourne and introduced in 1871. The large, attractive fruits have firm, juicy flesh with a sweet flavour and can be enjoyed fresh, cooked or pressed to produce pink juice. Ready to pick in September.
