Gladstone Apple - Stepover

ESTIMATED TO BE READY IN AUTUMN

Thought to have originated in about 1780. It was re-discovered by Jackson, at Blakedown Nursery, Kidderminster, Worcestershire and introduced in 1868 as Jackson's Seedling. It was renamed Gladstone after receiving a First Class Certificate from the Royal Horticultural Society in 1883. Fruits are crisp and juicy with a pleasant, aromatic flavour. It is also known by some other lovely synonyms including our favourite Scarlet Pippin!
