It is believed that Golden Pippin originated in Sussex, near Arundel in 1629. The Fruits are small and firm with crisp flesh and a sweet yet pleasantly tangy, rich flavour.  As the name suggests, the fruits are Golden in colour with lots of cinnamon coloured dots.  Although recorded as a dessert apple, the fruits will hold their shape when cooked.
