Have you fallen in love with a rare fruit variety at the National Fruit Collection?
With over 2,400 apple varieties, 550 pear varieties, 350 plum varieties, and 280 varieties of Cherry, it’s impossible to offer them all at once – but that’s where our bespoke grafting service comes in.
Each year, we graft thousands of trees from the National Fruit Collection at Brogdale, bringing unique and heritage varieties into the hands of growers across the UK. If a variety you love isn’t currently available, we can graft it for you.
Simply get in touch to tell us which variety you'd like, and we’ll check that suitable graft wood is available. Grafting is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to graft wood and rootstock availability.
Standard tree grafting: £40.00
On vigorous rootstocks: £50.00
The National Fruit Collection at Brogdale is one of the largest and most diverse fruit collections in the world. Its origins can be traced back to the reign of Henry VIII, who ordered the planting of orchards to improve fruit cultivation in England.
Grow your own piece of history!
Today, the collection conserves thousands of historic and rare varieties for future generations. We’ve proudly worked in partnership with the National Fruit Collection for almost 20 years. For every special tree grafted through this bespoke service, we donate an extra £1.00 back to the Brogdale Collections, supporting the ongoing preservation of these living treasures.
