Lemon Pippin Apple - Espalier (1Tier)

Thought to be English or possibly of Norman origin.  Very interesting "lemon shaped" fruits, that have a slight lemon aroma.  Tangy and sharp (think Bitter lemon) flavours.  A dual purpose apple but one most would prefer to cook with.  

Lemon Pippin is known by many other synonyms; including some of our favourites: Englischer Winter Quitten, Kirk's Lemon Pippin, Limon de Galles Pippin, Limonen Reinette, Limonien Apfel, Pudding Apple, Quince Apple, Reine Sophie and Winter Queen
