Limoncella Apple - Espalier (1 tier)

Originating from Southern Italy and grown since Roman times.  Limoncella produces small/medium, almost conical fruits, that have a pronounced tangy Lemon flavour, which gives this ancient variety its name.  The apples are crunchy and the flavour is refreshing.  

The apples although classed as a dessert apple, make a fantastic addition to cider and are good to cook with too.
