Looking after your espalier tree

When planting your espalier tree you must firstly take it off of the bamboo training frame and you will require a wire training system to be in place. It is usually easier to have the tree in front of you, in order to get the first line of wire in the right place, as position will vary depending on whether you have purchased a low, mid or high espalier. The majority
of the trees that we offer are mid stem espaliers and their first tier is typically 50-55cms from the base of the tree.
