Would you like to preserve a much-loved tree or grow a new one from a favourite variety in your garden?

Our Own Wood Grafting Service allows you to send us graft wood (scion wood), and we'll create a brand new tree for you using your chosen rootstock.

£40.00 per tree (semi-dwarfing to semi-vigorous rootstocks)

£50.00 per tree (vigorous rootstocks)

When To Send Graft Wood

Please wait for us to request your graft wood. We'll contact you during winter, when your tree is fully dormant, and ready to provide the best quality scion wood.

What To Send

Send us last season's growth - straight, healthy wood around pencil thickness. Avoid very young or overly mature wood. Not sure what to cut? No problem - send a small selection, and our team will choose the best piece.

How To Send Your Graft Wood

1. Wrap the cut ends in damp kitchen paper
2. Place in a sealed plastic bag
3. Send via tracked delivery to:

What Happens Next

Once we receive your graft wood:

We'll assess it and confirm whether it's suitable for grafting

If viable, we'll begin the grafting process (after payment is received

Your tree will be nurtured at our nursery - potted, watered, organically fed, and supported - until it's strong enough to leave us. Most trees are ready by autumn, though some may need longer to establish.

Important To Know

We have many years of grafting experience and a very high success rate - but as with all living things, grafts can occasionally fail. If your graft is unsuccessful, we're unable to offer a refund or replacement, but we'll provide guidance and are happy to try again in the future. The grafting fee covers our service and care. Delivery is available at an additional charge, to be confirmed at dispatch.
