Contrary to its' name Pumpkin Sweet produces lime green apples, that have a little rust coloured flush.  The apples are of good size and suitable for eating fresh or for cooking. The flesh is sweet and richly flavoured.  Originating from Manchester, Connecticut USA c1834.  A very traditional apple in the USA for canning.
