Reverend W Wilks Apple - Half-Standard

Raised in Chelsea, London. Reverend W Wilks is a cross between Peasgood Nonsuch x Ribston Pippin.  Named after the Rev. W. Wilks who was the vicar of Shirley in Surrey and Secretary of the RHS from 1888-1919.  The apples are large and smooth skinned, with pale flesh, which ripens to a primrose yellow.  The apples are delicately flavoured, with flesh that is tangy, juicy and will cook completely down to a froth.
