Little is recorded about this rare and now endangered variety.  We know it was registered around 1883 and originated from Tewkesbury, Glocs.  The fruits are a richly coloured crimson, when exposed to sunlight.  

We hope that we can remove this variety from the endangered list and look forward to hearing your verdict!
