Yellow Ingestre Apple - Espalier (1 Tier)

Raised c1800 by Thomas Andrew Knight in Shropshire and named after Lord Talbot's estate in Staffordshire - Ingestre.  

The apples are known for their distinctive colour a rich golden yellow.  The result of the crossing between an old orange pippin x golden pippin.  The apples are delicious, with fine textured flesh and a rich fruity flavour that has a hint of sharpness.
